Qualification Requirements

To achieve a Certificate III in individual support disability qualification, you must complete at least 120 hours of practical work as specified in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

The Certificate III in Individual Support disability qualification consists of 15 units of competency:
  • 9 core units
  • 6 elective units, including 3 units for the Disability Specialisation

The following delivery methods are available:The Cert III in Individual Support Disability course is delivered in a classroom-based setting, two days per week.

34 weeks (excluding study breaks and public holidays)

Course Fees

The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply, such as resource fees and other fees.
Free, plus course resource fee of $103.26.

Funding Eligibility

To be eligible for funding you must have left school and have y our primary place of residence in Western Australia and;

  • Be unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week in any industry;
  • an Australian citizen;
  • permanent visa holder, or
  • holder of a subclass 300, 309, 444, 445, 461, 785, 790, or 820 visa;
  • secondary holder of a temporary visa of sub-class 188, 457, 482, 489, 491, or 494;
  • holder of a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) where the visa holder has made a valid application for a visa of subclass 785 or 790;
  • holders of a visa subclass 449 or 786;
  • Afghan citizens who are holders of a visa subclass 449, and
  • holders of a bridging visa who are eligible to work and who have made a valid application for a subclass 866.
